Sharp Renovations & Design is an owner-led, licensed home remodeling contractor based in Westlake Village, California. Owner Jose Flores brings more than 20 years of hands-on construction experience to full kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, whole-home renovations, cabinet installation including IKEA kitchens, and custom closets for homeowners across the Conejo Valley, the West San Fernando Valley, and the Westside of Los Angeles. Personally led by Jose Flores
When you hire Sharp Renovations & Design, you work directly with owner Jose Flores, and he remains accountable for your project from start to finish. Jose prepares your proposal, guides the design and construction decisions, and oversees the work alongside his crew and additional trade professionals as needed.
Jose has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in construction and residential remodeling. He started in electrical work and built out from there into framing, plumbing, tile, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and kitchen and bath design. Knowing how every trade fits together, from what is behind the walls to the last piece of trim, lets him approach each remodel with a builder's knowledge and a designer's eye.
We schedule projects deliberately so Jose can remain personally involved, oversee the work, and maintain direct communication with clients throughout the renovation.
Sharp Renovations & Design has been incorporated since 2022 and has held its California contractor license since 2023. Jose is the qualifying individual on that license, so the person named on the state record is the person leading your project. Our philosophy is simple: treat every client with the care and respect we would give our own family, and every home as if it were our own.

Can you handle the whole project, or just one trade?
We handle the whole project. As a licensed general building contractor, we manage every part of your remodel, from framing and drywall to the plumbing and electrical work that comes with a kitchen or bath, so you work with one accountable contractor from start to finish.
Do you work on older homes?
Yes. Much of our work is in older homes across the Conejo Valley and the San Fernando Valley, where the real job starts once the walls are open. Updating older wiring, plumbing, and layouts as part of a remodel is one of our strengths.
How detailed are your estimates?
Very. Jose's proposals include line items, allowances, and clearly identified potential additional costs, so you understand what is included, what remains uncertain, and how your choices affect the budget before you commit. Not every hidden condition can be seen in advance, but the ones that can reasonably be anticipated are discussed before work starts.
Can you help with design decisions?
Yes. Jose walks you through layouts, materials, and finishes, explains the trade-offs, and can provide design renderings so you can see the proposed space before you commit.
Do you take on custom work?
Yes. Custom work is where Jose does his best work.
